- Promote multiple items. Peach, plum and nectarine consumers tend to purchase multiple category items. Featuring more than one tree fruit item can strongly increase category dollar lift compared to a single item promotion.
- Promote often for more profit. The wide range of category items means even frequent promotions won’t cause consumer “sale fatigue.” Remember to promote Summerwhite® and a variety of plum items to keep category interest high.
- Use plum promotions to drive sales. Research shows that plums are a strong category driver. Running a plum promotion along with a peach ad can quadruple sales dollars as compared to the peach ad alone.
- Promote early and late. Category volume and dollar lift can be as much as five times greater than the season average when you promote both early and late in the tree fruit season. Talk to your supplier about the best promotional timing.
