  • Hand-place fruit on display tables and stack it no more than two layers deep.
  • Always display stone fruit unrefrigerated in order to attract customers with the sweet aroma.
  • Restock displays frequently, rotating the ripest fruit to the front of the display, or to its own special section.
  • Cull fruit carefully each time the display is restocked and rotated.
  • Peaches, plums and nectarines are often an impulse buy – be sure displays are big, visible, and where customers will be attracted.
  • Make use of secondary displays to boost sales volume. Consider a foyer or outside display, or cross-merchandise with dairy or bakery items.
  • Plums are great for color breaks – use their many colors to build category variety and selection.
